I’ve been dying to write this review and very excited to tell you about a new eyeshadow palette I was gifted for my birthday! The Lime Crime Venus XL eyeshadow palette is what dreams are made of. It has everything from rustic reds, golden roses, berries, pinks to bronzed neutrals.
The palette consists of 18 beautifully crafted shades consisting of 5 metallic shades, 5 matte shades, 2 sparkle matte shades and 6 glow shades. They all have considerably different textures, some are buttery and some more on the dusty side however all very pigmented with consistent colour transfer.
I absolutely love the packaging too! It’s very weighty and I think that you definitely get your money’s worth. It seals with a magnet and has a full sized mirror on the inside so great for when you’re on the go.
I think the only thing lacking from the palette were glitter pigment shades that you’d usually use to highlight the inner corner and brow-bone and another thing I didn’t like was that there was a lot of the same deep purple shades. You could get a few different looks out of this palette – anything from daytime soft glam to a more smokey night time glam look. I would also definitely recommend using an eyeshadow primer with the darker shades as I noticed that even after I washed it all off that I still had a bit of a pink pigment left behind on my eyelids.
