For those of you that love mousse foundations, you’ll be very excited to know that there is now a mousse concealer too! The Essence Soft Touch Mousse Concealer now joins the already well-known soft touch mousse makeup range from Essence.
This new concealer is said to have a creamy mousse texture with high pigmentation. It melts into your skin to hide dark circles and skin imperfections.

One thing about my skin is I often find it a bit difficult to review makeup and skincare products during winter as this is the time that I struggle with my skin. As my skin gets drier in winter (whilst still fighting off an oily T-zone) products get more difficult to work with. I, on the other hand don’t do very well with mousse-type makeup products. I feel like it makes the dry parts drier and the oily parts oilier.

I started using the Essence Soft Touch Mousse Concealer about 2 weeks ago and I noticed it did pretty much the same thing. It does have a nice light and creamy texture but due to the mousse formula it’s also quite dry which made it a bit difficult to blend into the skin. I ended up with very dry areas around my nose area even though my forehead was shiny. Personally I prefer liquid concealers and I feel that they work better with my skin as far as blending, coverage and baking is concerned.
It retails for only R57.95 and available in 2 different shades. I must add that the packaging is really nice as far as concealers go. It comes in a mini glass jar, just a bit smaller than the mousse foundation pots and its really durable for if you’re traveling with it.
♥ If you’re not convinced by this concealer, why not read this blog post about 4 concealers I’ve tried and loved.
I haven’t gotten into mousse anything but this looks like an awesome concealer.
