Essence All I Need Concealer Palette

I must be honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of color correcting concealers, I guess, maybe my blemishes and imperfections were never that bad that I needed to correct them with color correctors but I received the new Essence All I Need Concealer Palette a few weeks ago and thought I’d give it a try.

The Essence All I need Concealer Palette was launched recently together with a ton of other new Essence products such as the Contour Palette, Setting Spray, Translucent Setting Powder and so much more! It contains 5 creamy concealers to combat various skincare problems you might have.

WTBIMG_0321In order to understand how color correcting works, just think of it as art – after all, makeup in itself is an art form. Art is directly linked to the color spectrum. The color spectrum is linked to the color wheel. The color wheel is what’s going to help and guide us to select the right color concealer.

For example: Say you had a skincare problem such as rosacea, sunburn or a rash. Generally that would leave your face looking pink/red. Now the colors directly opposite the pink and red on the color wheel are green and teal and this is why we use a green concealer to fix these problems. Make sense?

Untitled-1The Essence All I Need Concealer Palette contains most of the color correcting concealers that are used most frequently. I noticed that they didn’t include an orange concealer which is what you’d use to cover dark circles if you had a darker complexion. I think it’s a good concealer palette if you’re just getting to know color correcting and for just R67.50 – why not!

Hey! I’ve got a family friendly science show and I’m talking briefly about the science of makeup, and I was talking about the concealer color wheel! I was wondering if I could use that picture for my video because it’s beautiful. Will def link your blog and give photo credit! I know this is from 2016, but I thought I’d ask first!
