Essence Pastel Collection Makeup Brushes

It’s no secret that Essence is my favourite makeup brand. Not only do they offer an extensive range of skincare and makeup products but they’re also super affordable! I’ve always said the only thing my favorite brand is missing is a collection of their very own makeup tools and it wasn’t long until I saw the main Essence Instagram account post a picture of their all new makeup brush collection! It presented gorgeous shades of pastel and it would melt any girls heart.

At the time of the launch not all the brushes were available in South Africa and even now there are still 2 missing (the Kabuki and Precise Eyeliner Brush). About 7 stores later I finally managed to find the current available 5 makeup brushes. It said on the Essence website that the Kabuki and Precise Eyeliner Brushes are available to the South African market however we’re still waiting for them to pop up in our stores.

I’m really impressed by the look, feel, design and quality of the Essence makeup brushes. Pretty floral designs are printed on the brushes to add to its already girly-girl design yet still looks sophisticated. The bristles are ultra-soft and applies the product effortlessly.

What I actually didn’t know is that the pouch it came in is actually meant to be kept for storage and travel purposes… I threw mine away (oops) so maybe hang onto those if you don’t already have a makeup brush travel pouch.

They were also really easy to clean. All I used was a mild shampoo and warm water and swished them back and forth on the palm of my hand. Leave to dry on a towel in the sun and they’re good to go again.

Powder Brush – R57.95
Blush Brush – R53.95
Eyeshadow Brush – R24.94
Giant Eyeshadow Applicator – R34.95
Eye Blender Brush – R28.95

Essence have once again outdone themselves by creating beautiful, quality and affordable makeup brushes that work just as well as they look. Again I’m really impressed and urge everyone to go and buy these – I’ve seen them scattered about in a number of Clicks and Dischem stores around Cape Town so they are still very much available.

Do you own any of these? Let me know in the comments section what you thought about them.

Eeek šŸ™‚ You made the same mistake as I did by throwing them away! The blush and powder brushes are few and far between but I’ve seen them pop up every now and then at Clicks stores.
